The Women’s Cave

Who said custom home bars were only for us guys? (Not me!)

In fact, I think women not only want a custom bar for their home, but they have the natural insight to turn it into part of the home and to make it look like it has always been there!

That’s the tough part for us guys with decorating our bars. We think just because it’s a bar we can go out and buy our NASCAR shot glasses or cool Budweiser signs and turn it into our own personal sports bar! (What’s wrong with that?)

I think what it all boils down to is women just care about it more than guys do.

I want a bar, and she wants a place to serve guests! What’s the difference? I don’t know! Apparently a large one!

What I do know is that all the bars that I have built for men over the years are cool! I mean really cool, but the ones that I have built for women are elegant! So, I have to give credit where credit is due!

This maple bar featured was designed by a customer in an upscale north Georgia neighborhood. Its’ welcoming ambiance is the creation of one woman’s talents to pull everything together as planned, from the color of the bar to the natural stone floor that covers the entire terrace level. No neon Guinness signs on this bar, or any signs, (of man) for that matter!

The archway is constructed using the same material as the bar and the rest of the moldings to give one the feeling of continuity throughout this area, yet the archways also separate the rooms at the same time. Like I said earlier (Elegant)
