Good choice!
This mantel is one of my favorites also.
We built this mantel from scratch using furniture grade pine we purchased from a local lumber company. The arched section was cut out using a router attached to a homemade radius cutting jig, that’s what gives it its perfect cut.
I don’t have any specs at this time; however plans for the plans are in the works.
I’ll post some more info on this mantel and others similar to it in the next couple of days.
Thanks! Bryan

I've been looking for a design EXACTLY like your knotty pine mantel, the one with the curved arch and side flutes. It is beautiful, and would fit right in with my decor, around a very blah looking brick fireplace. Are design specs available, what is the approximate cost of materials? Did you route the details, or, purchase the peices already carved? It's just a wonderful design, simple yet stunning. It's not often you see a curved arch over a straight edge firebox, but this is what I've been seeking out for a long time. How is the arch made so perfectly? Thanks for any assistance you can offer! Richard
